47. Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when Stage II of the Chalkhill Estate in the London Borough of Brent will be completed; how many homes this will provide; what was the number of families on the Council's waiting list at the end of February, 1969; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacColl

Stage II of the Chalk-hill Estate is expected to be completed next winter; it will provide 341 dwellings. There were about 7,000 families on the waiting list at the end of February, 1969.

I shall be receiving a deputation from the Council tomorrow about the future of this scheme, and I have no statement to make at this time.
