§ Mr. Brian Parkynasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he will provide a special baby isolation unit at Bedford General Hospital so that in 206W emergency babies do not need to be rushed to Northampton General Hospital 20 miles away.
§ Mr. CrossmanSpecial facilities for the isolation of babies are included in the long-term plans for Bedford General Hospital. Meanwhile suitable accommodation is found in the hospital for children needing isolation whom the consultant pædiatrician considers should not be transferred to Northampton.
