§ Mr. Milneasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the number of copies of "In Place of Strife" sold at each of Her Majesty's Stationery Office retail sales centres throughout the United Kingdom and the total sales of this publication to the latest available date.
§ Mr. TaverneUp to the 18th April 1969, approximately 42,000 copies had been sold.
Approximate sales by each bookshop were as follows:—London (Holborn), 14,000 copies; Belfast, 400 copies; Birmingham, 2,650 copies; Bristol, 1,250 copies; Cardiff, 950 copies; Edinburgh, 3,700 copies; and Manchester, 4,050 copies.
In addition, the Stationery Office sold some 15,000 copies through its central retail mail-order and wholesale section.
