§ 1. Mr. Henigasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, consequent on the Government's grant in aid, he is satisfied with the degree of co-ordination between Sadlers Wells Opera Company and the Royal Opera House; and if he will make a statement.
§ Miss Jennie LeeA Royal Opera/Sadlers Wells Co-ordinating Committee has been in being for several years. Since the move from Sadlers Wells to the Coliseum, this Committee has been meeting every two months and the Arts Council is satisfied that there is the fullest co-operation between the two companies.
§ 2. Mr. Henigasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions he has held with the General Administrator of the Royal Opera House following the recent annual report of that organisation.
§ Miss Jennie LeeThe Arts Council decides the level of grant to the Royal Opera House so that the question of my having discussions with the Administrator does not arise.
