HC Deb 24 April 1969 vol 782 c125W
Mr. Michael Heseltine

asked the Minister of Transport what was the expenditure of his Department in 1968 on horticultural products.

Mr. Marsh

The amount directly spent by my Ministry on the purchase of horticultural products for amenity tree and shrub planting and maintenance in the financial year 1968–69 was £49,508. No figures are available for expenditure on horticultural products by contractors executing trunk road works or by agent authorities, or for the amount of Ministry grant towards principal road schemes which relates to expenditure on horticultural products.
