HC Deb 21 April 1969 vol 782 c8W
49. Mr. J. H. Osborn

asked the Minister of Transport, how many premium and Pullman services have been discontinued on the railways; and how many remain in operation.

Mr. Carmichael

The Railways Board tell me that there has been very little change in the total number of premium and Pullman trains which they operate since the Board was set up in 1963; the present number is 38 each week day. The destinations have changed to some extent, and they no longer use ordinary trains with Pullman cars attached.
