§ Mr. Joplingasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in drafting the Finance Bill, he proposes to allow farmers to claim Income Tax relief after 5th April 1970 on interest on overdrafts incurred in their farming operations.
§ Mr. Harold LeverInterest which is a proper business expense will qualify for relief in the case of a farmer on the same basis as in the case of persons carrying on other businesses.
