HC Deb 21 April 1969 vol 782 c21W
Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the value of total dividend distributions by the Country Gentlemen's Association Limited in 1943–44 and in the latest financial year at constant 1943–44 prices; and what consideration he gave to this relationship before preventing this company from reinstating its former rate of dividends.

Mr. Harold Lever

£3,600 and about £2,480 respectively for gross ordinary dividends. The relationship does not enter into the operation of dividend restraint.
