HC Deb 17 April 1969 vol 781 cc289-90W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Postmaster-General if he will ensure that all mail posted first class in London to another London postal district is delivered sooner than four days after posting; and what action he proposes to take to prevent delays in postal deliveries generally and, in particular, urgent letters to Members of Parliament.

Mr. Stonehouse

First-class letters posted in London for London addresses are generally delivered by the next working day. I have written to my hon. Friend about the two items to which he recently drew my attention.
