HC Deb 15 April 1969 vol 781 cc235-6W
Mr. Murray

asked the Prime Minister which Minister is responsible for developing the White Paper, Command Paper No. 3883, proposals on preservation of occupational pension rights on change of employment.

The Prime Minister

My right hon. Friend the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity has hitherto had responsibility for the proposals on preservation and transferability of occupational pension rights set out in the White Paper on "National Superannuation and Social Insurance". Their further development will however best take place alongside that of the other proposals in the White Paper which affect occupational pension schemes. Responsibility for proposals on the preservation of occupational pension rights will therefore now be transferred to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services.
