HC Deb 14 April 1969 vol 781 c189W
8. Mr. Raphael Tuck

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether, bearing in mind the increase in population and the inadequacy of hospital facilities in Hertfordshire, the main building of the new Watford General Hospital has been included in the hospital building programme; and what is the date when it is planned to commence building and the date when it should be completed.

Mr. Ennals

A maternity unit of 101 beds has been completed, a psychiatric unit of 75 beds and a new pathology department are under construction and initial planning of further development is proceeding.
