§ 53. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has received the communication from the hon. Member for West Ham North, regarding his constituent Mrs. E. Carpenter giving evidence that her husband who died in January, 1969, had for 10 years received an industrial injuries benefit for pneumoconiosis, that his death was certified as being caused by this disease, and that she had been refused a pension; and whether he will investigate this case and send a reply before 21st April.
