HC Deb 14 April 1969 vol 781 cc189-90W
14. Mr. Maurice Macmillan

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further plans he has for improving the pay and working conditions of junior hospital doctors.

Mr. Crossman

Pay is a matter on which the Government look to the Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration for advice. An increase recommended by the Review Body has recently been made. As regards working conditions I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the Hon. Members for Dorking (Sir G. Sinclair) and Liverpool, Garston (Mr. Fortescue) on 27th January.—[Vol. 776, c. 916–18.]
