HC Deb 14 April 1969 vol 781 cc200-1W
49. Mr. Tinn

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to ensure that payment of industrial injuries benefit is not interrupted pending the submission of the usual periodic medical reports in order to prevent hardship to beneficiaries.

Mr. Pentland

The existing procedures are designed to ensure that any essential medical reports are called for well in advance of the date the current disablement assessment expires. Except in a few instances where there is an unforeseen difficulty, interruption of weekly payments of benefit does not arise.
