§ 62. Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Minister of Transport what grant he proposes to pay in respect of the service on the High Wycombe to Marylebone line; what grant he estimates will be paid for a similar service into Paddington; and on what basis the difference between the two figures is calculated.
§ Mr. MarshAs I explained in my Answer to the hon. Member on 28th March, I am paying grant for the present service at the rate of £552,000 for 1969. I cannot yet announce the level of grant which would be required for an Aylesbury-High Wycombe-Paddington service, since this will require a detailed review of the proposed new service, including a complete reallocation of the costs of the joint facilities between Northolt Junction and Paddington.—[Vol. 780, c.383–4.]

I regret that it would require a disproportionate expenditure of time and money to provide a more complete answer and many other Departments would be involved.
