HC Deb 14 April 1969 vol 781 c210W
Dr. John Dunwoody

asked the Minister of Transport if he will give details of the improvements planned for A-class roads in Cornwall in each of the next five years.

Mr. Marsh

The detailed programme of individual schemes does not extend over the whole of the next five years.

The following improvements on trunk and principal roads in Cornwall, estimated to cost £100,000 or more, are programmed for commitment or consideration of grant issue in the years stated:

1969–70 Estimated cost
£
A30 Kennards House Improvement 127,000
A39 Trafalgar Road Round about, Truro 230,000
1970–71
A38 Liskeard By-Pass 1,196,000

In addition a number of smaller schemes will be carried out.

My annual report, "Roads in England", published on 6th November last lists other major road projects in an advanced stage of preparation and schemes being prepared for later years.
