asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many young persons were unemployed in the Wearside area at the latest available date.

Mr. Hattersley

In the area covered by the Sunderland, Pallion, Southwick, Seaham and Washington employment exchanges, 282 young persons were registered as unemployed at 10th March, 1969.
