HC Deb 03 April 1969 vol 781 c159W
43. Mr. Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the establishment of the South Eastern Fire Authority is up to strength; if he is satisfied that the equipment is up to date and sufficient; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Millan

I am informed that the South Eastern Area Fire Brigade was under strength at the end of 1968 to the extent of 41 whole-time and 29 part-time (retained) men. I am satisfied that the brigade is well equipped to carry out its statutory functions.
