Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations he has received from the farming community in regard to the rating of intensive agricultural building, on and off farms; and whether he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend has had written representations and my right hon. Friend the Minister for Planning and Land has received a deputation from the National Farmers Union on this subject. The representations and the issues raised by the deputation are being considered but I have no statement to make at present.
