§ Mr. WhitlockThe British Government Representative in the Associated164W States keeps my right hon. Friend in touch with the affairs of all those States.
We have no reason to think that good order is not being maintained in the island of St. Kitts. There are a number of foreign nationals with property there and in Nevis, but in the circumstances I do not think that there is any need to ascertain their exact number or the value of their property.
§ Mr. Martenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he has taken, in the light of Her Majesty's Government's responsibilities for defence and extenal affairs, to ascertain the estimated value of the personal property of nationals of any other country in the islands of Nevis and St. Kitts.
§ Mr. WhitlockI would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave him earlier today.
