HC Deb 03 April 1969 vol 781 c188W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how the volume of hospital building undertaken in England and Wales in 1968–69 compares with 1963–64.

Mr. Crossman

In 1963–64 hospital building schemes were started to the total value of £62 million, including 37 schemes costing over £250,000. The total value of schemes started in 1968–69 is estimated to be more than twice this figure, including 53 schemes costing over £250,000.
