§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Wales what steps his Road Safety Unit is taking to prevent the causes of road accidents affecting children in Monmouthshire; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. George ThomasThe Unit has issued a report on road fatalities to children throughout Wales which will assist the authorities in Monmouthshire to tackle this problem. It has also investigated the accident situation on one length of road in the county and is at present investigating other lengths. These investigations are not related solely to accidents affecting children but obviously have a bearing on them.
