HC Deb 02 April 1969 vol 781 c101W
Mr. Buchanan-Smith

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimate he has made of the dilution of milk prices to the producer in 1969–70 as a result of imports of dairy produce and of expansion in beef production.

Mr. Brewis

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimate he has made of the effect of the increased importation of skim milk powder and similar products on the pool price of milk.

Mr. Hoy

Imports of skim milk powder have declined by nearly 40 per cent. since 1964, whilst imports of whole milk powder fell by one-third in 1968.
