HC Deb 02 April 1969 vol 781 cc133-4W
Mr. Ogden

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware that at 9 a.m. on 26th March the hon. Member for Liverpool, West Derby, attempted personally to deliver to him at his office a letter affecting the welfare of one of his constituents and that, on the letter being refused at the main reception desk, he was obliged to wander through the Department before the letter was accepted; and if he will now arrange for urgent letters to him to be accepted at the main reception desk.

Mr. Callaghan

I am sorry that my hon. Friend was put to inconvenience. Instructions have been issued which should avoid any recurrence of this incident.
