asked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs if he will make a statement about the re-appointment of East Anglia Economic Planning Council.

The period of appointment of members expired at the end of March. I have now appointed members, including some new members, to serve from 1st April and I am circulating a list of names in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

I am glad to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the excellent work done by those members who have served hitherto.
