§ Mr. K. RobinsonDuring the financial year 1968–69 some 87 schemes for 1,350 acres at a gross cost of £1,800,000 were given final approval, allowing work to start. About £436,000 was paid in grant, compared with about £245,000 during 1967–68. Local authorities have many more schemes in preparation and know that loan sanction and grant are rowdily available for this purpose.
