§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the salaries paid to his Press officers and public relations staff generally have not kept pace with workers in similar employment in private industry, and whether he will therefore increase these salaries by 60 per cent. per annum and adjust their pension rights in accordance with the recommendations made in the National Board for Prices and Incomes Board report on salaries to higher paid executives and the chairmen of nationalised boards.
§ Mr. M. StewartI have been asked to reply.
