§ Mr. RossThe South of Scotland Electricity Board estimates that on the basis of a 25-year life, with interest at 8 per cent. and including the royalty payable to the Atomic Energy Authority on A.G.R. stations of 0.014d. per unit, the cost of electricity sent out from Hunterston B nuclear power station will be 0.51d. per unit. A 25-year life has been used as in the reply given to my hon. Friend by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Power on 25th March, 1969: based on a 20-year life the corresponding unit cost would be 0.53d.—[Vol. 780, c.261.]
