§ Mr. RossThe Macaulay Institute for Soil Research is continuing its surveys of peat resources, and with the Forestry Commission, is pursuing the development of forestry on peat soil. The Highlands and Islands Development Board, in whose area a substantial part of the Scottish peat deposits is located, is examining possibilities of further use of peat for industrial and agricultural purposes.
