§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government, in his considerations as to whether further guidance to local authorities is required on repair and maintenance work if he will ensure that a decision that services should be secured in the widest market will also ensure that Scottish firms have an opportunity of tendering.
§ Mr. MacCollIt is for local authorities themselves to decide how this work shall be done, having regard to the need for efficiency, economy and the avoidance of any form of discrimination, and my right hon. Friend is not at present satisfied that any further advice is required.
