§ 71. Mr. Waddingtonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why it is not practicable to extend the repayment of post-war credits to persons who have been off work due to sickness for any continuous period of 26 weeks irrespective of whether such persons have been in receipt of sickness benefit.
§ Mr. DiamondThere would be no machinery for testing the claims. Repayment of post-war credits on hardship grounds is only practicable by reference to categories of hardship falling within the existing social services classifications.
