§ Miss Quennellasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that British Overseas Airways Corporation has not renewed the Pilots Agreement of Service which expired on 30th September 1967; and if he will give a general direction to the Corporation to renew the Agreement by an interim settlement without prejudice, temporarily.
§ Mr. William RodgersI am aware that the agreement of service has expired but negotiations on this and other matters are continuing between B.O.A.C. and B.A.L.P.A. under the chairmanship of Professor Wood. These are not circumstances in which the issue of a general direction would be appropriate.
