§ Mr. Richard Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs when he now expects to receive the Yorkshire and Humberside Economic Planning Council's study of the Colne Valley-Huddersfield area; and whether this will be on approximately the same scale and statistical base as that of the recent Calder Valley-Halifax study.
§ Mr. UrwinI understand that the factual part of this study in now in the final stages of preparation and that it is hoped that the full report, including 155W the Economic Planning Council's proposals, will be ready early next year. The study is broadly on the same scale and statistical basis as the study of the Halifax-Calder Valley area.
