§ Mr. HoyThe average price obtained by United Kingdom growers in the week ended 5th October is estimated at just over £14 a ton. This is rather better than the price for the corresponding week last year and compares with an average price of about £10 14s. a ton at the beginning of August. I see no reason why the average price for the season should not reach the guaranteed price of £14 17s. 6d. a ton.
