§ Mr. Kelleyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what conditions he attaches to the granting of financial assistance towards the cost of clearing land which has become derelict because of it ceasing to have certain industrial use.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonThe Acts impose certain conditions. For example, the Industrial Development Act requires that a scheme should contribute to industrial development in the area. My right hon. Friend does not himself impose conditions, and it is his aim to give financial assistance to all schemes which are sound technically and which the local authorities concerned consider would benefit the neighbourhood.
