§ Mr. Lomasasked the Minister of Transport why the alternative site for a vehicle testing station offered by the Huddersfield local authority was rejected; and what estimate was made of the cost to public funds of building such a testing station.
§ Mr. MarshThe estimated cost of building on the site was a little over £100,000. In view of the capacity already provided for the testing of goods vehicles in the West Riding, this expenditure could not be justified.
