§ Mr. Cledwyn HughesRegulations on conditions in poultry slaughterhouses, other than welfare regulations, are contained in the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations, 1960 made under the Food and Drugs Act 1955. These are administered by local authorities working under the responsibility of my right hon. Friends, the Minister of Health and the Secretary of State for Scotland.
I am now preparing regulations under the Slaughter of Poultry Act, 1967 which will deal with welfare.
