§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will take steps to set up a study group, on which both the public and the police should be represented, to determine the best system of independent inquiries into serious allegations against police officers.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganI do not think the time has come for a full review of procedures which were examined by the Royal Commission on the Police and considered by Parliament in the Bill which became the Police Act 1964. But my right hon. Friend is keeping a careful watch on the working of those procedures.
