§ Mr. FernyhoughMy Department is continuously engaged in the assessment of short-term manpower prospects in various parts of Great Britain through my offices200W in Scotland, Wales and the regions and the supporting network of local employment exchanges. These assessments are based primarily on unemployment and vacancy figures and information about forthcoming redundancies and expansions known to the Department supplemented by information supplied by the Board of Trade on jobs in prospect.
