§ Mr. RossThe number of non-industrial civil servants employed in Scotland by central Government Departments, excluding the Post Office, at 1st July, 1967, the latest date for which statistics are available, was 36,423. The corresponding figure in 1964 was 32,314. These statistics do not differentiate between administrative, clerical and other grades.
