§ 63. Mr. Huntasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he expects to receive a reply from the High Commissioner for Nigeria regarding the claim for compensation made against the High Commission in 1966 by Mr. Joseph Combes and raised in correspondence by the hon. Member for Bromley in May, 1968 and July, 1968.
§ Mr. WhitlockWhen this matter was raised with the High Commissioner in the course of a call at the then Commonwealth Office in August he undertook to have enquiries made without delay. I 193W do not know when the results of these enquiries will be known but we are continuing to press for a satisfactory solution.
