asked the Minister of Public Building and Works which parts of the Palace of Westminster were re-carpeted during the 1968 Summer Recess at a cost of £5,000; and why this work was carried out.

  • Part of the Strangers' Gallery.
  • Parts of the Clerk of the House Floor.
  • Serjeant-at-Arms' Corridor.
  • Outside Foreign Secretary's Room.
  • No. 7 Staircase.
  • Part of Committee Office.
  • Lady Members' Room (Centre Curtain Corridor).
  • Chairman of Public Accounts Committee Office.
