§ Mr. GreenwoodIn their 1966 and 1967 reports, the Historic Buildings Council drew attention to the importance of this problem and to the work of the Historic Buildings Bureau. The scope and work of the bureau have now been extended and the importance of helping148W to find new uses for historic buildings is being emphasised in a circular about to be issued to local authorities. I shall send the hon. Member a copy of the circular, which deals with historic buildings and conservation in relation to the new Town and Country Planning Act.
