§ Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what will be the cost to the ratepayers of London next year of the restriction imposed by him on the proposed increase in rents of property owned by the Greater London Council.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonI do not know how far the Greater London Council propose to meet from rates the reduction in rental income arising in 1969–70 from the limitation of rent increases. The reduction in income in 1968–69 will be about £1.1 million. Whether this will all fall on ratepayers is for the Council to decide.
