§ 49. Miss Lestorasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will now take steps to make it compulsory for local authorities to provide in door play space for young children in high blocks of flats.
§ Mr. MacCollI hope that if possible flats in high blocks will not be allocated to families with young children, and with advancing techniques of layout and design it should normally be possible to avoid doing so, even at high densities; the Ministry's Research and Development group are studying these problems and the results will be published in due course.
