§ Mr. Roy JenkinsSome drawings have been made in respect of reductions of sterling area countries' sterling balance which occurred earlier in the year—very largely in the second quarter. The whole proceeds of these drawings have been used to repay short-term debt to central banks and they have not therefore had a net effect on the reserves. In accordance with normal practice, I cannot give details of these drawings.
