§ Mr. George ThomasBecause of the continuing need to moderate the growth of capital expenditure by local authorities, I am unable to allow all sewerage schemes to proceed without delay. Priority is given to schemes, whether in rural areas or not which are essential for public health or for industrial or substantial housing development.
§ Mr. Hoosonasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many authorities in Wales have asked for approval for sewage disposal works during the coming financial year; and to how many such schemes he has given his approval.
