Mr. Roebuck

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of the action he plans to take following the investigation of the staffing position at the Royal Naval Hospital, Malta.

Mr. Reynolds

Following a review of the staffing position at the Royal Naval Hospital, Malta, a revised complement will be brought into effect in April 1969 and this will be progressively reduced by further stages in April 1971 and April 1973. The planned medical and nursing staffs compared with the present complement are as follows:—
