§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what action he has taken under his powers under the Prices and Incomes Act 1968, with regard to the rent increases by the London Borough of Lambeth.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend gave his consent on 29th August to the Council's proposals for rent increases to come into effect on 1st December 1968. These are for increases in standard rents averaging 7s. 6d. a week, with a maxi-34W mum for any individual house of 10s. a week He did not approve the Council's proposals for further increases to come into effect on 1st October 1969.
