§ 80. Mr. Gordon Campbellasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity whether she will make a statement on the rise in the rate of industrial accidents.
§ Mr. FernyhoughI share the widespread concern over the rise in industrial accidents reported under the Factories Act from a total of 296,610 in 1966 to 304,016 in 1967. The figures must however be viewed in perspective and I would refer the hon. Member to the analysis of the problem in the letter of presentation to the Annual Report of the Chief Inspector of Factories for 1967.
